Danbury Museum To Gather In the Garden

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Museum and Historical Society will hold its annual garden party fundraiser Gather in the Garden on June 20.

Gather in the Garden will feature live music by The Red Hots. The duo performs classic Americana, ragtime, blues, jazz, swing and gospel classics from the 1930s to the 1960s.

The fundraiser is at The Askin Home on 19 Connecticut Ave. and runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, rain or shine. The Askin Home was formerly the Old Brookfield Tavern and the first floor Colonial taproom will be open for guests.

Admission is $20 and tickets can be purchased online at danburymuseum.org, by calling (203)-743-5200 or by visiting the museum during business hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. 

The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Danbury Museum and Historical Society.
