For outdoorsy fashionistas and weekend campers, Sierra Trading Post in the Berkshire Shopping Plaza offers both clothing and gear. It even offers supplies for the family dog. This store is the first in Connecticut for the off-price retailer of brand name merchandise for active families.
In 2014, TJX Cos. Inc. opened its first two physical stores for Sierra Trading Post, which had previously been an online-only store acquired by TJX in 2012.
The Danbury store is the first Sierra Trading Post in Connecticut and is spacious at 23,500 square feet. The store is stocked with clothing for men, women and children, as well as a selection of gear for campers, hikers, bikers, rock climbers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts.
Sierra Trading Post joins HomeGoods, Marshall’s, Walmart and Staples in the Berkshire Shopping Center at 67 Newtown Road.

On the other side of town, Danbury Fair recently welcomed Ulta Beauty to its collection of stores. It took over the space previously occupied by Uniqlo at the Primark end of the mall.
At Ulta, beauty queens will find all the makeup and hair supplies they could wish for, as well as salon services on the premises. Appointments for hair services, facials, brow waxing, eye lash enhancements and manicures can be made online by clicking here.
This location is the second store opened in Fairfield County by the cosmetic company. Earlier this year, an Ulta Beauty opened at 650 Main Ave. in Norwalk.
