Primark Throws Open Doors To Shoppers At Danbury Fair Mall

DANBURY, Conn. — Shoppers in Danbury may not know what to expect from Primark — it is, after all, only the third U.S. location for the European fast-fashion retailer — but they make like what they see now that the store has opened at the Danbury Fair Mall.

"Primark is a one-stop shop for all things fashion," the retailer says. "The store offers a full range of the brand’s key fashion and lifestyle offerings, including women's wear, men's wear, children's wear and home goods."

The prices can't be beat. Savvy shoppers can pick up flip-flops for 90 cents, sunglasses for $3.50, T-shirts for $5 and jeans for $9.

As part of the opening festivities, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, actress-and-singer Victoria Justice of Nickelodeon fame will be hosting a meet-and-greet for Primaniacs.

Guests will have the chance to win a new Primark wardrobe curated by Justice, valued at $1,000. Additional giveaways and gift-with-purchase promotions will also be available for customers.

Primark has stores in 11 countries and only recently began moving into the U.S. market. It recently opened stores in Boston and at the King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia.

The Danbury location is on the second floor in space previously occupied by Sears, which consolidated into smaller quarters on the first floor. A bright turquoise sign on the outside of the mall shows the way to enter directly into the store.

Primark hired more than 200 workers for its new Danbury store.
