New Hotel Zero Degrees Prepares For Groundbreaking In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. — The newest addition to the Hotel Zero Degrees chain will be celebrated at a groundbreaking ceremony Friday in Danbury.

The groundbreaking for the hotel located at 15 Milestone Road will take place at 10 a.m. It is the third Hotel Zero Degrees in Fairfield County, joining the ones in Stamford and Norwalk.

Construction is currently underway for the newest addition to the chain on an 8.8-acre site at 15 Milestone Road off Interstate 84.

"The corporate and residential growth over the past few years in this area of Connecticut has been astounding and we are looking forward to providing accommodations for business and leisure travelers as well as becoming the central gathering place for restaurant patrons and social groups.”

The 114-room property will include 27 extended stay suites. The hotel will also feature a restaurant operated by regionally acclaimed Z Hospitality Group, proprietor of Mediterraneo, Terra and East End in Greenwich; Sole’ in New Canaan, Mediterraneo at Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk, Acqua in Westport and Aurora in Rye, NY. The restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner, as well as cater all corporate and social functions.

Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury is expected to open its doors to guests later this year.
