Lululemon Joins Lineup Of Stores At Danbury Fair Mall

DANBURY, Conn. -- Fans of the trendy workout clothes sold at lululemon athletica can now shop for their favorites closer to home as the Canadian athletic brand holds the grand opening of its newest store Friday in the Danbury Fair Mall.

The new lululemon store is located on the second floor of the mall, near Macy's and just across from the Apple Store. The familiar red-and-white logo is highly visible.

"We are thrilled to add technical athletic apparel company lulemon athletica to our eclectic lineup of retailers," said  MelissaEigen, senior marketing manager for the Danbury Fair Mall. "Now more than ever, Danbury Fair is a shopping destination in Fairfield county, Conn., and neighboring New York counties for stylish clothing, fabulous dining and entertainment."

Founded in Vancouver in 1998, lululemon athletica makes technical clothing for yoga, dancing, running, and most other sweaty pursuits, according to its website. Lululemon athletica says it "creates components for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives."

Lululemon also has nearby stores in Westport and on the Avenue in Greenwich as well as at the Westchester Mall, the Stores at Nanuet and at Woodbury Common.

The Danbury mall is also home to a new Toys R Us Express, filling that shopping void in the mall. It is located on the first floor near the center court.

Two other highly anticipated new stores at the mall are Uniqlo, slated to open Oct. 17 on the second floor near Sears, and Chick-Fil-A, due to open later this fall in the food court.

Uniqlo is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer. It also has nearby stores at the Stamford Town Center, the Westfield Trumbull mall and the Westfield Connecticut Post mall.
