Bounce!’s new operation at 21 Prindle Lane is set to host the grand opening event on Saturday, May 21, according to a statement from the business. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Newtown-based Caroline Previdi Foundation.

The foundation was founded in memory of Caroline Previdi, a 6-year-old first-grader who was killed during the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 12, 2014.

Lisa and Rob Cannon of Weston, owners of the new Bounce!, said they chose the location to provide area residents with the best service.

The Cannons have made a number of innovations at their location, including trampoline Bungee jumps where kids are harnessed in and have a chance to bounce high into the air, dual Bounce! Xtreme Ninja Obstacle Courses with timed challenges, three foam pits in the main jump area, multiple party rooms of all sizes, and a unique parent lounge that includes the ability to watch your favorite TV shows through a cell phone app, according to the statement.

Another innovation that will make Bounce! in Danbury a real attraction for parents and groups is a large, lofted area that overlooks the facility and houses tables with 40 charging stations as well as an arcade with state-of-the-art games. The location also has a sizable “5 and under” section, according to the statement.

“Parents will love coming here because there is something for every age to enjoy while participating in low impact exercise,” Rob Cannon said. “In addition, parents can choose to get in on the action or watch from our Parent Lounge or lofted mezzanine area while relaxing with a cup of coffee or getting some work done with our free wi-fi and charging stations.”

The Cannons said they chose to support the Caroline Previdi Foundation because of the girl’s positive and enthusiastic approach to life and her inspiring concern for others. The charity works in Caroline’s name to provide extracurricular activities for children whose families lack the finances to provide such experiences.

“We are thrilled to be selected as the charity of choice for the grand opening of Bounce! in Danbury, said Sandy Previdi, Caroline’s mother. “Our mission is to make sure that children whose families may not be able to afford to send them for extracurricular activities will be able to get involved, be more social, and participate in physical activities to help them be the best they can be and Bounce! is the ideal partner to move that mission forward.”
