"Rock Inferno is a flame-throwing rhythm action game. When you play well on the guitar-shaped controller, flames shoot into the air!" The pitch on Kickstarter says.
The group of friends started Ar[Sonic] in 2010 and have since built the game Rock Inferno and showed it at Burning Man Festivals in the past. This year, "Rock Inferno" will be a part of Charcade - a collection of flame-throwing video and arcade games from around the world.
They are fundraising, they say, to help make upgrades and updates to the game. As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, the fundraiser needed about $2,700 to be fully funded by July 28.
Money will go to help:
- upgrading the sound system
- building and designing flame proofers
- creating visuals for the game
- buying a new computer to run the game
- creating a new code
- improving safety systems and fencing
- traveling to and from Burning Man
As with all Kickstarter fundraisers, there are pledge prizes, which for "Rock Inferno" are everything from being a liner note in the music to an hour of play on the game for yourself and one other person.
