The new Chick-fil-A, which now has three brand-new outlets in Connecticut, is located in the second-floor food court of the Danbury Fair Mall. The restaurant created 35 new jobs.
As part of the grand opening ceremonies, Chick-Fil-A awarded cards worth a free meal a week for a year to the first 100 customers in line. Most of the 100 had spent the previous 24 hours camped out in the mall's parking lot, and had marched through the rain into the mall as part of the grand opening tradition at Chick-Fil-A.
The restaurant will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. offering a limited breakfast menu including Chick-fil-A’s Chick-n-Minis, multigrain oatmeal, yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit cups until 10:30 a.m. The chain’s full lunch/dinner menu will be available at the Danbury Fair Mall location. Like all Chick-fil-A restaurants, it will be closed on Sunday.
“Personalized customer service and freshly prepared food have been the hallmarks of Chick-fil-A since the day founder S. Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant,” said Rich Beattie, owner/operator of the new Chick-fil-A in Danbury.
“My team members and I couldn’t be more honored and excited to continue that legacy with our customers in Danbury and throughout Connecticut.”
Another Chick-fil-A also opened Thursday in Wallingford. The first one in Connecticut opened last month in nearby Brookfield. Another restaurant is slated for Enfield in early 2015.
