The story, which ran in September, was one of our most-read features in 2017.
The bakery, an Arthur Avenue offshoot, opened in August and operates on the motto: "Life is too short for bad food." Customers will find an array of -- as the name implies -- pastries, buns, scones, cookies and bread, delivered every morning from the Bronx. There is also a variety of infused oils and balsamic vinegars as well as other Italian specialities. Custom baskets are a big part of the shop's holiday orders.
Proceeds from the bakery benefit U.S. Pain Foundation, a Middletown-based nonprofit that helps people suffering from chronic illness and pain.
