But how much snow did we get? Here are numbers as of Tuesday evening from the National Weather Service:
- Monroe: 3 inches
- Danbury: 2.5 inches
- Bridgeport Airport: 2.5 inches
- New Fairfield: 2.5 inches
- Newtown: 2.1 inches
- Easton: 2.0 inches
- New Canaan: 2.0 inches
- Wilton: 2.0 inches
- Norwalk: 1.5 inches
- Darien: 1.5 inches
Most of the snow will melt fairly rapidly over the next few days. Highs are expected to reach the low 40s on Wednesday, but a west wind of 10-15 mph will make it seem colder. Wednesday's night temperatures will dip into the mid 20s, but winds will diminish.
Thursday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with temperatures in the mid to high 30s. Friday is also sunny, with highs approaching 30. Saturday is expected to be sunny with temperatures hovering around 30, and Sunday's forecast includes a 30 percent chance of snow beginning in the late afternoon.
