CT Employee Seriously Injured After Becoming Impaled In Pasta Machine An employee at a Connecticut food plant was seriously injured after becoming impaled on a pasta machine. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, March 21 at Carla's Pasta, 50 Talbot Lane, in South Windsor, in Hartford County. The South Windsor Fire Department responded to the restaurant for a report of an employee with his armed trapped in a pasta roller machine. Flammable Materials In Car Explode Near Metro-North Station Two Metro-North employees were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after flammable materials being stored in an employee’s personal, private vehicle exploded. The incident took place around 1 p.m.Friday in the parking lot of Metro-North’s North White Plains Yard, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA.   MTA Police are investigating the cause.  There was no train involved and there is no impact to Metro-North train service.
