Several communities in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia have been named among the safest and richest cities in America for 2025, according to new research from GOBankingRates.

No. 10. Darien, average household income: $352,839
No. 16. Old Greenwich, $321,377

Atherton, California, a San Francisco suburb located in San Mateo County, ranked No. 1 for the fourth year in a row with an annual household income of $525,324.
