Beloved CT Native Who Was Mother Of 3 Dies At Age 50 A Hudson Valley mother of three has died at the age of 50. Dutchess County resident Jennifer J. Strang-Thrasher, of Wassaic, died on Sunday, February 4, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Strang-Thrasher, born in Connecticut in the town of Sharon in Litchfield County, was a graduate of Dover High School and Dutchess Community College.  She was a direct care worker at Cardinal Hayes Home for Children in Millbrook, for 30 years, according to her obituary. Covid-19: Here's When Latest Metro-North Schedule Change Starts As ridership continues to plummet to historic lows amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the MTA announced it will once again be altering the schedule for Metro-North trains. Beginning on Monday, April 13, Metro-North will operate on an hourly schedule on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines during both the weekdays and weekends. The Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines will remain on Saturday schedules, with hourly service at some points of the day. Metro-North May Raise Parking Fees At Some Stations Parking may be getting a bit costlier for Metro-North riders. The MTA is reviewing a proposal to increase fees at 25 station parking facilities that are controlled by the railroad. It would impact riders east of the Hudson River, including the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines. Permit holders for 16-hour parking would pay an average of $42.75 annually, approximately 12 cents a day. Customers who use daily meters will pay an average of $14.17 more monthly, with the meters increasing by 50 to 75 cents for 16-hour parking. Nine Metro-North Railroad employees were celebrated for “seamlessly working together to save an unresponsive customer” on board a train heading from Grand Central to Wassaic.
