Man Shot In Neck Crashes Vehicle, Police Say One person was shot and another injured during a crash following an altercation. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 9:18 p.m., Sunday, May 10, when Bridgeport Police received a report of a person shot. When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting in the area of Vine Street and Park Avenue, they found a man who had been shot in the neck, said Bridgeport Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. Person Shot While Driving Crashes Vehicle, Police Say Police are investigating a shooting incident in which a person who was shot while driving crashed the vehicle, injuring a passenger. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 9:18 p.m., Sunday, May 10 in the area of Vine Street and Park Avenue in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, the city’s emergency manager. Once on the scene, Bridgeport police found the driver had been shot while driving, causing them to crash the vehicle, which injured the passenger, Appleby said.
