Metro-North Train Becomes Tangled In Wires, Causing Delays, Small Fire In Norwalk A Metro-North train got tangled in overhead power wires in Fairfield County, causing a small brush fire and stopping the train, causing delays. The incident occurred in Norwalk around 4:45 p.m. Monday, May 20, on an eastbound train near Moore Place, carrying passengers who had become entangled in the overhead wires that supply operational power to the train. Ramon Rodriguez, 31, of Brooklyn, was killed around 10:12 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, when he was struck near the Port Chester station by a train from Stamford and due to arrived at Grand Central around 11:14 p.m., said Metro-North officials. Metro-North Train Hits Unoccupied Car On Danbury Branch In Redding REDDING, Conn. — A Metro-North train hit an unoccupied car on the tracks in Redding along the Danbury Branch late Friday, according to the News-Times.  No injuries were reported in the incident, but train service was suspended until early Saturday, the News-Times said.  The accident happened at about 11:25 p.m. Friday at the crossing at Topstone Road in Redding, the News-Times said.
