Lane Closure, Traffic Stoppages Scheduled On I-84 Stretch Motorists driving on I-84 in Orange County will see overnight lane closures and brief traffic stoppages for several days as crews perform construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that lane closures have been scheduled on I-84 in the Towns of Wallkill, Greenville, Montgomery and Wawayanda; and the City of Port Jervis beginning on Monday, July 15. Police Chase Ends In Fatal Crash On I-84 Click here for an updated story: ID Released For Man Killed During Hudson Valley Police Chase Crash One person was killed following a chase that started in Dutchess County and ended in Orange County with a firey crash. The chase began around 9:40 p.m. Monday when New York State troopers attempted to stop a  2001 Toyota Tacoma on the Taconic State Parkway traveling north in the town of East Fishkill, said Trooper AJ Hicks.  The Tacoma was observed to have a tow dolly.
