Fire Causes Substantial Damage To Stratford Gun Store, Shooting Range A fire at a popular Stratford gun store and shooting range caused substantial fire and water damage. The fire started in Stratford around 6:15 p.m., Monday, April 17 at the. Stratford Guns & Ammo at 760 Honeyspot Road. Stratford Fire Marshal Robert Daniel said the three-alarm fire started in the shooting range area and employees attempted to put it out before calling 911 and evacuating the store and area. The fire started around 10:08 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, at 61 Henry Ave., in Stratford, said Stratford Assistant Fire Chief Robert Daniel. The fire started around 11:18 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21, at 161 Cheshire St, in Stratford, said Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal Robert Daniel.  When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy fire coming from two of the second-floor bedroom windows of the large colonial style home.  The fire extended up and into the attic, said Daniel. Family, Pets Escape Raging House Fire Seven people, including three children, and several animals were able to escape a house fire in Fairfield County. The Stratford Fire Department was dispatched to 2037 Broadbridge Ave., around 10:17 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, for a reported structure fire with four adults, three children, one dog, and two cats inside the home, said Robert Daniel Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal. Man Badly Burned During House Fire In Area Firefighters were able to save a person trapped inside a garage while the structure was on fire. The incident took place around 1:47 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 45 Mill Pond Road, said Stratford Assistant. Fire Chief/Fire Marshall Robert Daniel. House Fire Breaks Out In Stratford Police in Fairfield County and EMS responding to an activated medical alarm device in the wee hours of the morning called firefighters after happening upon pluming smoke and a rapidly-spreading kitchen fire. Failed Extension Cord Cause Of Apartment Fire That Injures Resident A third-floor apartment unit was heavily damaged and the resident injured during a fire in Stratford started by a failed extension cord powering an air conditioner.  The fire took place around 10:25 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at 450 Ferry Blvd., in Stratford, said Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Brian Lampart.
