19: Man Claiming To Have Virus Spits At Officers, Police Say
A Connecticut man who was having a fight with his roommate was arrested for allegedly spitting on police and then claimed to have the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Stephen McCarthy, 27, of Milford, was arrested on Thursday, April 30, after Milford Police responded to a Meadowside Road home for a domestic incident, said the Milford Police. When officers arrived on the scene they attempted to arrest McCarthy who is allegedly accused of spitting towards officers and stating he had COVID-19, police said.
