One In Custody After Incident Puts Fairfield County Neighborhood On Lockdown
Residents in one Fairfield County town were warned to stay in their homes during an armed standoff with a suspect following a domestic dispute. The incident took place around 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 in Trumbull. That's when officers were called to a home in the Tashua Road area for a domestic disturbance, said Captain Keith Golding of the Trumbull Police. According to Golding, before police arrived, the suspect fled from the house to an adjacent building on the property armed with a handgun. Armed, Barricaded Fairfield Man Surrenders After Three-Hour Standoff, Police Say
A report by a family member that his father was having a mental breakdown led to a three-hour standoff with a Fairfield man. The incident began around 4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, when the family member went to Fairfield Police headquarters and reported that his father was acting erratically after picking up a police report that indicated his wife was having an affair, said Fairfield Police Capt. A man out on bail for allegedly shooting his ex-wife to death and attempting to kill his stepson was found dead in a storage container after a standoff with Fairfield Police. James Taylor, 75, was found dead inside a container in the rear of his Bronson Road home Tuesday, Aug. 6, following a standoff with police that began when an alert went off on his court-ordered GPS ankle monitor, Fairfield Police said. Two Suspects Nabbed In Beating Of Victim In Stamford
A 21-year-old area man and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with the beating of a man during a street robbery. The beating/robbery event took place on Wednesday, Nov. 14 around 5:50 p.m. when Stamford Police responded toa street robbery on Ludlow Street, said Stamford Police Lt. Thomas Scanlon.
