Person Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Utility Pole In Westport A fatal crash that led to the hours-long closure of a roadway in Westport is under investigation. The crash occurred on Route 57 (Weston Road) between Sipperley’s Hill Road and Silver Brook Road just before 1 a.m. Sunday, April 14, Westport Police said. Arriving emergency units located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames after striking a utility pole, bringing down electrical wires in the area of 57 Weston Road, police said.
