Man Falls On Train Tracks In Fairfield County Rolls Under Amtrak Train, MTA Says A man who fell on the tracks at a Fairfield County train station was lucky and was able to roll under an Amtrak train. The incident occurred in Bridgeport at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the train station at 525 Water St.  According to Dave Steckel with the Metropolitan Transportation Administration, the unidentified man rolled under the Amtrak train and did not make contact. Longtime Firefighter, Baseball Coach Born In Greenwich Dies A beloved firefighter, baseball coach, and Navy veteran from Northern Westchester is being remembered for his longstanding dedication to helping his community.  Banksville resident Preston Pratley died on Monday, May 27 at the age of 79, according to his obituary.  Born in 1944, Pratley was born in Greenwich and later moved to Banksville after marrying his wife, Geraldine Kerslake, in May 1968.  A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Greenwich, Pratley was a Navy veteran who also became a proud member of Local #38, Sheet Metal Workers.  He was also…

The incident took place around 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15 on the New Haven/West Haven line, Metro-North officials said. The train #1513 from New Haven, has been canceled and combined with another line. Commuters are being told to listen for announcements at their station for replacements, connections. Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Darien A 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Thursday night near Darien. According to Metro-North officials, the incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven.
