Police are investigating after signs with the words "groomers" were placed under a Pride flag at a Fairfield County Town Hall, just hours after a celebration. The incident took place in Greenwich on Monday, June 5 after 8 a.m., following a Pride celebration at Town Hall by local government officials and dignitaries on Sunday, June 4. As Pride month begins, a board of education in Fairfield County has voted against removing two graphic novels containing themes of gender identity and sexuality from library shelves. Investigation Under Way After Pride Month Balloons Removed From Fairfield County Bridge
Police in Fairfield County are investigating after balloons hung to celebrate Pride Month were removed from an area bridge. Westport Police said they responded to the Ruth Steinkraus Memorial Bridge on Friday, June 11, for a report of possible vandalism. The complainant stated that as he was driving across the bridge, he noticed that several of the colorful rainbow balloons placed on the bridge lights had been removed, said Westport PD Lt.
