19: Wilton Library Closed Until Further Notice
With the news that a Wilton resident has been hospitalized with the first Connecticut case of the novel coronavirus, the Wilton Library has announced it will be closed until further notice. The decision to close the library was advised by Wilton's health director after all of the town's public schools were closed, said Elaine Tai-Lauria, executive director of the library. Larceny Suspect Caught In CVS Parking Lot After Police Search In Wilton
A larceny suspect has been caught in a CVS parking lot after a search in Wilton, police say. Wilton Police say they received a call from a CVS employee stating that the man, described as wearing a blue hat, blue shirt, black pants and maroon sneakers, tried to steal 19 bottles of Tylenol and other painkillers on Thursday, June 13 around 5:30 p.m. The caller stated that the suspect had left the store on foot and was last seen running behind Bank of America (117 Old Ridgefield Road), police say. Stamford Man Busted For Pot During Stop
A 19-year-old Stamford man was busted by Wilton Police for having a half-ounce of pot and a smoking pipe during a traffic stop. Cristian M. Peralta was given a citation for the drugs on Wednesday, Jan. 9, after police noticed his 2007 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the Wilton Library with the vehicle's four-way flashers on, said the Wilton Police. Teen Nabbed After Slamming Into Car, Taking Off, Wilton Police Say
A teen was grabbed for slamming into the rear of another vehicle in Wilton and then leaving the scene of the crash, according to Wilton Police. The incident took place around 12:28 p.m., April 24 at the intersection of Ridgefield Road and Old Ridgefield Road when 19-year-old Aiden Jaecklein of Wilton hit a guardrail in a Chrysler convertible with Florida plates and then slammed into the back of a Toyota already stopped in traffic, said Lt.
