Heat Advisory: Dangerously Hot Conditions Grip Region - Here's When We'll See Some Relief
Steamy, unhealthy, dangerously hot conditions will linger for the next few days with a Heat Advisory in effect for the region.
The advisory, issued by the National Weather Service, is from noon Sunday, July 19 until 8 p.m. Monday, July 20.
Heat indices will climb to the upper 90s throughout the region on Sunday, with parts of interior Connecticut reaching 100. (See first image above.)
On Monday, heat indices will reach 100 for most of the region. (See second image above.)

Probe Launched Into Death Of Danbury Man, 29, Stuck In Conveyer Belt At Area Factory
Officials have launched an investigation following the death of a Danbury man who became stuck in a conveyer belt at an area block factory.
Daniel Kendrick, 29, was killed about 5:55 p.m., Friday, June 7, after being trapped in a conveyor belt system at New Milford Block and Supply Corporation at 574 Danbury Road, said New Milford Police Lt. Lawrence Ash.
The accident remains under investigation by the New Milford Police Department, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Worker Dies After Falling From Tree In Fairfield County
A worker from a local tree removal company died after falling from a tree that he was removing from the property of a Trumbull home.
Eris Banegas-Gomes, 28, of Bridgeport, was wearing a safety harness around 9 a.m. Saturday, as he climbed the tree to a height of about 45 feet at the Pinewood Trail home, police said.
He then began removing the top portion of the tree, when the tree broke off at its base. The tree, with Banegas-Gomes, still attached, fell directly to the ground, police said.
Other members of the work crew immediately called 911 and attempted to assist him.
