38-Year-Old Drowns In Trumbull Lake A Fairfield County man died after divers found his body at the bottom of a lake. The incident occurred in Trumbull around 7 p.m. at Pinewood Lake, in the Nichols section of town, on Wednesday, July 3. According to Lt. Two Hospitalized Following Fire At Home In Fairfield County Two people were hospitalized following an early morning house fire in Fairfield County. The fire began around 2:42 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 10, at a house on Hawley Road, in Shelton, said the Shelton Fire Department. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a large volume of smoke coming from the home, with the fire located in the basement, the department said. The incident took place late in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 17, when the lightning strike hit the home at 1790-1792 Main St., said Stratford Fire Deputy Chief Brian Lampart. Eric Gabrielson, of Oldfield Road, was killed around 7 p.m., Friday, May 3, in the area of Daniels Farm Road during a two-vehicle crash that ended with the pickup truck hitting the side of a home, said Trumbull Police Lt. The fire broke out around 11 p.m. at the home on Glenwood Drive in Trumbull on Thursday, Feb. 21, Long Hill Volunteer Fire officials said on Facebook. Members of the Nichols Fire Department were dispatched to Round Ridge Trail in Trumbull shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 9, where there was a report of a lightning strike and the smell of smoke in a local home.
