NY Flight Paramedic Dies Midflight, Leaves Legacy Of Service: 'A Wonderful Human' Kevin Robert spent his career rushing to help strangers in their darkest moments. Now, after suffering his own emergency aboard a helicopter, the veteran flight paramedic is being remembered for a lifetime of service and compassion. Robert, 48, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 27, during a LifeNet flight out of Ticonderoga, the agency revealed in a Facebook tribute. At the time, he was caring for a patient alongside a flight nurse and pilot. Man Rescued After Arm Becomes Stuck Between Rollers At Manufacturer A 33-year-old man is in intensive care after his arm became stuck in a large machine while at work late Monday afternoon. Michael Avery of Wappingers Falls was rescued around 4:35 p.m. Monday at the Dunmore Corporation in Brewster, after his arm was caught between two large rollers in a machine, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
