Norwalk Police Investigating Smash-Grab Robbery
Police in Fairfield County are searching for suspects who allegedly committed a smash-and-robbery of a commercial business. The incident occurred in Norwalk on Friday, July 26, around 1:25 a.m. at the Clever Smoke Shop in the 80 block of New Canaan Avenue. According to Sgt. Ryan Evart of the Norwalk Police, a rock was used to smash the front door and items were taken from the store. The vehicle used was stolen. "Other surrounding towns have experienced similar type smash and grabs," Evart said. The case is currently under investigation.

A 2-year-old boy underwent surgery after being shot in the hand and foot at a home in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Monroe around 9:20 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, on Wheeler Road. According to Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone, officers responded to the intersection of Route 110 and Osborn Lane for a medical emergency call. A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged illegal drug sales after complaints from residents led to a months-long investigation. Arpit Soni, age 28, of Danbury, was arrested on Thursday, June 6, following an investigation by the Danbury Police, Brookfield Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
