Stamford Convicted Felon Charged With Having Assault-Style Guns
A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly having several guns, including an assault rifle and semi-automatic pistol.
Anthony Hicks, age 42, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 18 following an investigation by the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime unit.
According to Assistant Chief Rich Conklin, during the investigation, agents learned that Hicks, who is a convicted felon, was storing multiple firearms, including a Draco-stye assault rifle in his apartment.

Tip Leads To Arrest Of Stamford Multi-Strikes Felon With Illegal Gun, Ammo, Police Say
With help from a Crime Stoppers tip, narcotics investigators nabbed a multi-time convicted Fairfield County felon with an alleged illegal gun.
The incident took place in Stamford on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the area of Main and Clinton Avenues.

After a chase and a rollover crash, police in Connecticut arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting that left one dead and one injured.
Hartford arrested Chan Williams-Bey Jr., age 25, of Hartford, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Siddhartha Lake-Sudan, age 37, of East Hartford around 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, said Hartford PD Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

CT Dealer Sentenced For Trafficking Fentanyl, Other Drugs, Possessing Shotgun
A 28-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison for drug trafficking and possessing an illegal short-barrel shotgun, federal prosecutors announced.
Hartford resident Danny Castillo, 28, has been sentenced to 128 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl, other drugs, and possessing a short-barrel shotgun.
In August 2018, the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Gang Task Force and the Hartford Police Department received a tip that Castillo and his associate, Pascual Ivan Medina, were distributing fentanyl in and around the city.
