Video: 14-Year-Old CT Girl Killed In Crash Of Stolen Vehicle, Police Say
A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was killed during a two-car crash that also injured five people, two critically. The crash took place in New Haven County around 2:20 a.m., Friday, July 21, at the intersection of East Main Street and Baldwin Street in Waterbury. The vehicles involved were a Hyundai Sonata and Ford Escape, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police. Fairfield County Resident Dies Days After 3-Vehicle Crash
A Connecticut man died days after a three-vehicle crash left him with life-threatening injuries. The crash took place in New Haven County around 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25 near Bridgeport Avenue in Milford. According to the Milford Police, the collision involved a 2017 Ram 1500 and a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. An initial investigation revealed that the Ram 1500 was traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue and crashed into the Hyundai Elantra when it attempted to turn left onto Cleveland Avenue. Two young Connecticut girls have been arrested for being inside a stolen vehicle at an area mall. The incident took place in Trumbull around Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the Westfield Trumbull Mall. Trumbull officers arrested two teenage girls after they were located sitting inside a stolen blue Hyundai Sonata parked by itself in the JC Penney lot, according to Lt. Driver, Passenger Killed After Car Crashes Down Embankment On CT Roadway, Police Say
Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help identifying two people who were killed in a single-car crash. The crash took place in New Haven County on I-91 in North Haven around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 near Exit 12. Police said a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on I-91 when it passed the off-ramp and ran off the road to the right. More Than 500K Hyundai, Kia Vehicles Being Recalled For Backward Turn Signals
Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than 550,000 vehicles in the US that may have turn signals that flash in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. The recall includes some Hyundai Sonata models between 2015 and 2017; Hyundai Sonata gas-electric hybrids produced in 2016 and 2017; and Kia Sedona minivan models between 2015 and 2017. 28-Year-Old Who Failed To Stay In Lane Was Driving Under Influence, Wilton Police Say
A 28-year-old man who failed to stay in the proper lane when driving in Wilton has been charged, according to police. Wilton Police say they initiated a traffic stop on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata after observing the driving fail to stay in the proper lane when traveling northbound on Danbury Road on Sunday, Sept. 29 around 1 a.m. During officers’ interview with the driver, identified as Tyler Destefano, 28, of Milford, police say they suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol.
