Drunk Fairfield County Man Who Left Car In Middle Of Road, Found Inside Area Home
A drunk Fairfield County man was arrested after allegedly being found inside an area home on the staircase claiming he was working on the house, which he was not, according to authorities.
Michael Ocampo, age 38, of Norwalk, was arrested around 1:40 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 25, after Darien Police said officers responded to an unoccupied vehicle left running in the northbound lane of Hollow Tree Ridge Road.
When officers found the vehicle, they searched the area for the driver without finding him, said Sergeant Dan Skoumbros, of the Dairen Police.

Intoxicated Man Found Asleep At Fairfield County Intersection, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was charged with driving under the influence after being found asleep behind the wheel of his Subaru sedan.
Billy Estrada, age 30, of Stamford, was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 4, after a Darien Police officer spotted the car in the middle of the road at the intersection of Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Allwood Road.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he could see the Estrada apparently sleeping. After several attempts, officers were able to rouse Estrada, said Sgt. James Palmieri of the Darien Police.

Fairfield County Woman Nabbed For DUI After Hitting Stone Wall, Police Say
A woman has been arrested for driving under the influence after hitting a stone wall with her vehicle in Fairfield County, according to authorities.
The incident happened on Saturday, Aug. 7 in Darien.
Allesandra Mossa, age 32, was arrested after the incident on Hollow Tree Ridge Road, said Darien PD Sgt. James Palmieri.
When officers arrived on the scene, Mossa, of Darien, appeared confused and emitted the odor of alcohol, Palmieri said.
Mossa was put through standardized field sobriety testing, which she failed to perform to standard, police said.

Man Nabbed For DWI/Drugs After Crashing Into Vehicle In Fairfield County, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly driving while high on marijuana after he hit a construction barrier and ran into the back of another vehicle.
Erik Gonzalez-Castro, age 20, of Stamford, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 27, after police responded to the report of an accident in Darien on Post Road near Hollow Tree Ridge Road.
Upon arrival, officers found the two involved vehicles and made contact with one of the drivers, said Darien PD Sgt. James Palmieri.

Eight Unlocked Vehicles Broken Into In Darien, Police Say
Police issued an alert after nearly a dozen unlocked vehicles were broken into in Darien.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, the Darien Police Department announced that nine cars had recently been burglarized, with open storage compartments and disturbed items from those compartments strewn throughout the vehicles.
Nine break-ins and attempted break-ins were reported on Oakshade Avenue, Stanley Road, Libby Lane, Holly Lane, and Hollow Tree Ridge Road between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
No items were stolen in eight of the break-ins, though a tool was taken from a vehicle on Holly Lane.
