Federal aviation officials are taking urgent action to prevent future midair collisions after a catastrophic crash between an American Airlines passenger jet and a US Army helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Three alleged car thieves who fled from authorities in Westchester at over 100 miles per hour were captured in Connecticut after a multi-state pursuit involving a helicopter and spike sticks, police said. The incident began around 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, when Westchester County Police responded to a report of three people attempting to break into cars at 333 North Bedford Rd. in Mount Kisco. 4-Year-Old Found After Multi-Agency Search Near Border Of Northern Fairfield County
A 4-year-old boy who slipped away from his grandfather as he turned his back for a second was the focus of a large manhunt in the dark woods of a Northern Westchester town. The incident took place around 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, in North Salem, off Hardscrabble Road.
