A Fairfield County man faces a slew of charges after allegedly taking police on a pursuit for a minor traffic violation. The incident occurred on Greens Farms Road in Westport on Sunday, July 25. According to Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for minor traffic aviation when the driver refused to stop and began driving erratically and aggressively to elude police. Three teens were nabbed for an alleged armed robbery after a police pursuit, crash, and foot chase in Fairfield County. The arrests occurred in Westport around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. According to Westport Police Chief Foti Koskinas, the department received information from Trumbull Police to be on the lookout for a black Infiniti occupied by three suspects reported to be involved in an armed robbery in Trumbull. A 19-year-old and two juveniles were nabbed for allegedly burglarizing a vehicle after a Fairfield County homeowner was alerted to the crime by a Ring doorbell. The incident took place in Westport around 12:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 at a residence near Compo Beach. According to Lt. Three Fairfield County teens have been charged for taking part in a TikTok challenge in which projectiles are shot at pedestrians. The incident took place in Westport on Saturday, May 28. The three teens were caught after police received several emergency calls from various locations around town reporting a group of youths traveling in a vehicle had been shooting projectiles at passing pedestrians, said Lt. Shelton Man Nabbed For DWI On Sherwood Island Connector
A drunken driving arrest was made early Sunday morning on the Sherwood Island Connector, Westport police said. At about 2 a.m. on Feb. 4, police officers were dispatched on a report of a vehicle operating erratically and crossing multiple lanes of travel. The vehicle was observed traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road. It traveled through the intersection with Hillspoint Road without stopping for the stop sign.
