Woman Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Parked Fairfield PD Cruiser, Police Say
An inebriated woman distracted by her cellphone allegedly plowed into the back of a police cruiser that had pulled another driver over on Post Road. The Town of Fairfield Police officer was outside his vehicle, speaking with the driver of the vehicle he had pulled over for speeding at about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 when the crash took place, according to the Fairfield Police Department. Nearly a quarter-million Ford pickup trucks are being recalled due to a problem with the daytime running lights.
