CT Caregiver Critical After 30-Foot Fall While Raking Leaves
A Connecticut woman is in critical condition after falling off a 30-foot cliff while raking leaves. The incident took place in New London County on Sunday, Nov. 5 around 1 p.m. in Mystic behind a Quarry Road home. According to Stonington Police Assitant Chief Todd Olson, the department received a call from a woman in her 90s who reported that her caregiver was missing. A Westchester County caseworker who resides in Connecticut faces numerous charges after allegedly stealing more than $300,000 from a 95-year-old woman suffering from dementia whom she had been taking care of. A Fairfield County woman has been arrested for larceny after allegedly stealing more than $58,000 from her employer, an elderly woman. The initial forgery complaint was made in Norwalk in September 2022 when the woman's daughter discovered the illegal withdrawals from the victim's checking account, said Lt. A Connecticut man is facing charges for allegedly making online threats against Gov. Ned Lamont after receiving misinformation about COVID-19 in nursing homes, State Police announced.
