A Riverside man was busted for drunk driving after slamming his car into a tree, according to Greenwich Police. Richard Wright, 51, was arrested around 10:38 p.m. Thursday after police received a 911 and a hang-up in the area of Pilot Rock Lane. While on the way, officers noticed indications of an accident on Indian Head Road, a police report said. When officers found Wright he was slurring his speech and unsteady on his feet. A Danbury man driving with a suspended license and several empty beer bottles in his backseat was busted for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Putnam County. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on June 2, a Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in Southeast stopped 35-year-old Carlos Agosto-Mendez on Route 6 for various vehicle and traffic violations between Argone Road and Starr Ridge Road. Villaverde, 63, of Brookfield was arrested around 2:20 a.m., Saturday, March 24, when Deputy Sheriff Joseph Sadowski observed a car on Main Street in the Village of Brewster without any lights on and crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic, the department said.
