Drunk Westchester Man Found Sleeping In Car With Engine Running, Greenwich Police Say A Westchester man is facing charges after police say he was found sleeping in his vehicle with the engine running in Greenwich. Greenwich Police say they responded to a report of a disabled vehicle in the area of Davis Avenue and Bruce Park Avenue on Saturday, June 15 around 5 a.m. Further investigation revealed that a man was sleeping in the vehicle in question, according to police. Once contacted, the man was observed to be drooling and have red, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Officers also allegedly noticed an alcoholic odor. Heavy Rain, Strong Winds, Downed Trees Snarl Morning Commute Periods of heavy rain, combined with strong winds, resulted in delays throughout Fairfield County during the Monday morning commute with downed trees also being reported. Downed trees closed two roads in Greenwich: Davis Avenue at Wilbur Peck Court and Glenville Road closed between Midwood Road and Valley Drive. A jackknifed tractor-trailer crashed blocking I-91 lanes in both directions between Exits 38 and 40 in Windsor. (See second image above.)
