A man is facing charges after he was caught with a loaded handgun and three pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on I-84, police say. New York State Police initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle speeding on I-84 in the Town of Newburgh on Wednesday, April 3. I-287 Stop In Westchester Leads To DWI Charge For Fairfield Man
A Town of Fairfield man is facing multiple charges after police conducted a traffic stop on I-287 in Westchester. The incident occurred on Sunday, Feb. 3 at around 1:20 a.m. State Police stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Greenburgh for numerous vehicle and traffic violations. During the stop, the driver, 58-year-old James A. Cheney of Fairfield appeared to be intoxicated and gave police probable cause to search the vehicle. Two men are behind bars after New York State Police discovered more than 204 pounds of high-grade, individually packaged marijuana in the Hudson Valley.The pot seized has a street value of more than $1 million dollars, according to Major Pierce V.
