Bethel Man Found Under Influence Of Drugs, Alcohol In Greenwich
An idling vehicle outside of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich led to the arrest of a man who was allegedly driving under the influence over the weekend, police said.
Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the museum shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, where there was a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found Bethel resident Jacob Matthews, 26, in the front seat, allegedly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, with the vehicle running. He was advised by officers to take several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he subsequently failed. …
Woman Used Pry Bar To Break Into Business, Steal From Cash Box, Police Say
A woman with a warrant out for her arrest is behind bars after she allegedly used a pry bar to break into a Connecticut business and robbed it, taking elaborate steps to cover up her actions, police said.
Investigators from the Milford Police Department took area resident Lily O’Donnell, 26, into custody on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in regards to an active warrant that was issued for her arrest.
According to police, O’Donnell allegedly used the pry bar to break into a Cherry Street business on July 20, disabled the surveillance equipment and stole the contents of the business’ cash box and files. …
Gardener Strikes Man In Dispute Over Parked Car In Greenwich, Police Say
A gardener who lives in Stamford was arrested for attacking another man during a dispute over a parked vehicle in Greenwich.
Francisco Oliveros, 51, was charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of an assault around 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 between two people at a home on Round Hill Road, said Greenwich PD Lt. David Nemecek.
When police arrived the victim, Fred Barakat, told officers that he was on the property to pick up the garbage dumpsters and that an argument had occurred with the property's gardener, Oliveros, Nemecek said.
