Bridgeport Fugitive Wanted For Killing Neighbor, Dad Of 8 In 2009 Captured In Spain: Cops
A fugitive wanted for the 2009 murder of a Bridgeport father was captured in Spain and extradited to the United States, authorities announced. Marques Wanderson, 46, was taken into custody by the Spanish National Police in August 2024. U.S. Marshals transported him back to the U.S. on Thursday, February 6, and immediately handed him over to Bridgeport Police. Police say Wanderson is responsible for the Aug. 2, 2009, shooting death of 49-year-old Harold Gantt at an apartment complex on the 200 block of Madison Avenue. Teen Stabbed To Death At CT Elementary School
A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death during an altercation at a Connecticut elementary school. The incident took place in New Haven County around 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 23 at Tuttle Elementary School in East Haven. Capt. Joseph Murgo, of the East Haven Police, said officers were dispatched to the school for a report of a fight between several individuals. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 15-year-old from North Branford was assaulted with a knife during the fight, Murgo said. 15-Year-Old Arrested For CT Homicide
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged homicide in Connecticut over the weekend. The killing of a 17-year-old took place around 2:45 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9 in the area of 25 Westbrook St., in East Hartford. According to Deputy Chief Joshua Litwin, of the East Hartford Police, when police responded to the report of a person on the ground they found the victim who was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
