Police Seeking Help Identifying Fairfield County Bank Robber
Police in Fairfield County are seeking the public's help identifying an alleged bank robber who jumped the counter and made off with cash and then carjacked a ride-sharing vehicle. The incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 at the Webster Bank branch located at 3546 Main St., in Bridgeport. According to Detective Jeffrey Holtz, of the Bridgeport Police, the man leaped over the counter and demanded the teller hand over the cash. Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Peoples Bank inside a Stop & Shop in Fairfield County. The robbery took place around 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, at the Stop & Shop in Shelton, at 898 Bridgeport Ave. The man walked into the Peoples Bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash while implying he had a gun, said Shelton PD Detective Christopher Nugent. Video Released Of New Canaan Bank Robbery Suspects
New video and surveillance photos have been released by police investigators as they attempt to locate two suspects who robbed a bank at gunpoint. The New Canaan Police Department received an emergency call shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from employees at the People’s Bank on Main Street stating that they had just been the victim of a robbery. Police said that two suspects, both wearing masks, a hat, and hooded sweatshirts displayed a handgun during the robbery before taking off with $9,000 in cash.
