This weekend, the Maker Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 with several attractions being held around the Baldwin Lot on Elm Street and the Veterans Green. The following day, Sunday, April 28, beginning at 8:30 a.m., the Westport Young Women’s League will host the annual Minute Man Race. Police: Man Faces DUI Charge After Running Stop Sign On Compo Beach Road A Milford man was arrested for driving drunk after allegedly running a stop sign.Lawrence Wydan, 22, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 2018, after a Westport police officer observed his vehicle drive through the stop sign at Compo Beach Road and South Compo, said Lt. Jillian Cabana. When the officer stopped the vehicle, Wydan appeared to be under the influence and had a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside his vehicle, police said.
