Early Morning Shooting Sends 4 To Hospital; Teen Woman Remains In Critical Condition An early morning shooting in New Haven sent four people to the hospital and left one woman clinging to life, authorities said.  New Haven police responded to the 800 block of Chapel Street around 2 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, after 911 callers reported multiple gunshots, detectives said. Officers found a 22-year-old from Hampden suffering from a bullet wound at the scene. Bicyclist, 24, Killed After Crash With Garbage Truck A 24-year-old Connecticut man was killed early Thursday morning, Oct. 17, after being hit by a garbage truck in New Haven County, authorities said.  Police responded to the crash a little after 2 a.m. at the Church Street and North Frontage Road intersection in New Haven.  Officers found the 24-year-old New Haven man with life-threatening injuries, and paramedics rushed him to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he died of his wounds. Woman Struck, Killed By CT Transit Bus A Connecticut woman was hit and killed by a bus. The crash took place around 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, in New Haven. New Haven Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a CT Transit bus, on Chapel Street, between Orange Street and Church Street. According to Officer Scott Shumway, responding officers located the victim, a 40-year-old New Haven woman, who was later pronounced dead on the scene.
