More Americans Believe Christine Blasey Ford, Marist Poll Finds Nearly half of Americans believe that Christine Blasey Ford was telling the truth last week following the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh as Supreme Court justice, according to a new Marist College poll.    One in three residents, or 33 percent, told pollsters Kavanaugh was honest. Connecticut's elected Democrats on Thursday said testimony by Christine Blasey Ford against U.S. Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh was credible and potentially fatal to his confirmation by the U.S. Senate.  U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who sits on the 21-member Senate Judiciary Committee, said he thinks more witnesses should be called.
