Scammers Posing As Officers Are Requesting Money For Fines, Westport Police Warn Police in Fairfield County are warning residents about scammers calling and identifying themselves as officers and requesting money for fines owed. Just such an incident occurred in Westport on Friday, Feb. 16 when a resident received a voice mail from a person requesting money. According to Capt. David Wolf, of the Westport Police, the caller identified themselves as Wolf and requested that the resident call them back.
