A stretch of clear, dry weather will end just after Thanksgiving day as a complex, cross-country storm will bring periods of rain and strong winds to the region. Surge Of Cold Air Could Bring Accumulating Snowfall To These Parts Of Northeast
The arrival of the coldest air of the season will lead to the possibility of accumulating snowfall in some spots in the Northeast, according to the National Weather Service and AccuWeather.com. Most of the region will see rain and sleet from a wintry storm that will sweep through the region over the weekend, but parts of the Northeast could see up to a half-foot to a foot of snow. There's a chance for a new round of potentially severe thunderstorms to sweep through the region. The time frame in which storm activity is possible is from the early afternoon on Wednesday, July 14 until close to midnight. A new storm system scheduled to sweep through the region could end as snow in some spots. The storm is due to arrive late in the afternoon or early in the evening Friday, Oct. 16 and continue into Saturday, Oct. 17. A storm system now moving northeast will bring thunderstorms with torrential rain and strong winds that could cause power outages.
