House Fire Sends Firefighter To Hospital, 14 Residents Displaced In Danbury
A Fairfield County firefighter was taken to the hospital and 14 residents were left homeless following a two-alarm house fire. The blaze started in Danbury just after 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17 on Locust Avenue. Arriving firefighters found a 3-story, multi-family home with heavy smoke emitting from multiple sides, said Capt. The owners of a Fairfield County nail salon aren't just sitting around worrying about losing their businesses with the onslaught of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Three-Alarm Fire Damages Deli In Danbury
A three-alarm fire heavily damaged a Danbury deli. The Danbury 911 center received multiple calls stating that a large amount of smoke was billowing from the Marcello's Deli and Catering near Lake Avenue and Hobson Street late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 14. The 911 dispatch center then alerted fire units, which arrived quickly at the scene. Fire crews confirmed that the smoke was coming from the roof of the structure. Three-Alarm Townhouse Fire Spreads Quickly In Danbury
A three-alarm fire spread to four townhouse units in short time early Friday morning in Danbury. Danbury Fire units were alerted by 911 around 6:40 a.m. Friday of a reported fire in a townhouse at 120 Triangle Street, said James Gagliardo, communication coordinator for the department. Driver Hospitalized After Car Slams Into Pole In Danbury
A driver who had to be extricated from a vehicle after slamming into a power pole in Danbury was injured in the crash. The crash occurred around 11:18 p.m. Thursday on Town Hill Avenue near Clark Street after the driver lost control and hit the pole, said James Gagliardo, of the Danbury Fire Department.
