Pilot Killed After Plane Headed To CT Crashes
A small-engine plane that crashed, killing the pilot, was headed for Connecticut.
The plane crashed around 7:10 a.m., Thursday, May 2, near Daniel Village, Georgia, and was headed for New Haven, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in Augusta, Georgia.
The Federal Aviation Authority said the Beechcraft 36 crashed in a residential neighborhood. Only the pilot was on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate, the FAA said.

US Soldier From Connecticut Killed By Lightning Strike
A soldier who was killed by a lightning strike during a training mission has been identified as being a Connecticut resident.
Tolland County resident Sgt.1st Class Michael D. Clark, of the town of Bolton, died on Wednesday, July 20, at Fort Gordon, in Augusta, Georgia.
During the training exercise, Clark, age 41, was killed and nine others sustained injuries associated with the lightning strike, said the Department of US Army Reserves.

Police Make Arrest In CT Murder Within Hours Of Crime
A suspect has been arrested less than 24 hours after a Connecticut man was found shot to death inside a vehicle.
Tanoah Jones, age 35, of Augusta, Georgia, was located at the scene of the Hartford County murder and charged with the killing of Troy Reid, age 29, of Hartford, said Rafael Medina III, assistant Chief of Police.
Reid was found around 1:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, inside a vehicle in the rear of a home located at 20 Sterling St., with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel, Medina said.
