Woman Accused Of Stealing $17,000 From Wilton Jewelry Store A Queens woman was arrested by police in Fairfield County in connection with the theft of $17,000 in jewels from an area jeweler in 2017. Paula Hurtado, 38, of Astoria, was picked up at Bedford Correctional Center by Wilton police on an active warrant and extradited her to Connecticut to face felony larceny charges, the Wilton Police Department said. Hurtado's arrest is three of four stemming from a 2017 investigation where the suspects conducted a distraction type larceny at Campus Jewelers, police said. Man Taken Into Custody After Trespassing At Elite CT Prep School, Police Say State police arrested a man for trespassing on the property of the elite prep school early in the morning. The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. Friday when school security staff from the Hotchkiss School in Western Connecticut near the New York border contacted state police and reported a trespasser, said Connecticut State Troopers.
