Neighbor Helps Rescue Family After Two-Alarm Danbury House Fire Breaks Out A quick-thinking neighbor emerged as a hero after helping to rescue a family when a two-alarm house fire broke out late Sunday morning in Danbury. Anthony Petrella, the neighbor from across the street ran into the house at 2 Pond Ridge Rd., after the fire broke out at around 11:30 a.m. and removed the residents, along with their dog, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury Fire Department.
