A former doctor in Connecticut will spend nearly four years in prison and will pay more than $200,000 after admitting to illegally distributing prescription medication. Fairfield County resident David Ciancimino, age 63, of Trumbull, was sentenced by US District Judge Omar A. Williams in Hartford to 46 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for distributing drugs out of his Shelton office to patients who did not require them. Colleges are issuing warnings about fentanyl-laced Adderall after one student died and another is in critical condition after using the fake drug. Ohio State University in Columbus issued an urgent warning on Thursday, May 5, after three students overdosed, with one later dying and one remaining in critical condition. A report of an attempted break-in in Connecticut led police to arrest a 25-year-old on charges of driving under the influence and possession of drugs. Troopers responded to a report of an individual possibly breaking into a Litchfield County home in Roxbury at about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, according to Connecticut State Police. Man Admits To Drug Charge Related To OD Death
A Connecticut man has admitted to handing out the Adderall that led to a fatal overdose. Wallingford resident Timothy Estridge has pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of, amphetamine in court in New Haven, for his role in the death of a 38-year-old man. On Dec. 16 last year, the Wallingford Police Department and paramedics were dispatched to an area home after receiving an emergency 9-1-1 call reporting the death of a man. Sherman Teen Busted For Drugs Following Danbury Crash
An 18-year-old girl was busted by Danbury police on multiple counts of drug possession following a vehicle crash on Clapboard Ridge Road. Emily Burkhardt of Sherman was arrested on Feb. 8, after a police officer responding to the crash detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from Burkhardt's vehicle, said Danbury Police Det. Lt.
